MD Mind Health
If you find yourself struggling with your mental health and needing additional support, please enroll in the MD MindHealth text program. Once you opt-in to the text program you will receive messages twice weekly that provide support and contain local resources to help maintain mental wellbeing. Currently, messages are in English or Spanish.

Bereaved Parents of the USA: Maryland has two chapters that facilitate groups, contact your local chapter for virtual options
The Compassionate Friends: There are three chapters in Maryland and D.C., contact your local chapter for virtual options
National Alliance for Grieving Children: multiple programs, please contact to learn about current options
The Dougy Center- The National Center for Grieving Children & Families: several programs in Maryland that have been trained to provide services to children and families
GRASP (Grief Recovery After a Substance Passing): four locations in Maryland, contact for meeting information
Healing Hearts Overdose Death Grief Support Group: (Cecil County) virtual meeting available on first and third Wednesday of every month
Survivors of Suicide (Baltimore Chapter): peer support group that meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month
BHA- Healing After a Suicide Loss – a collection of resources including the Postvention Guide created by the Suicide Prevention Unit at BHA with county specific resources.
Maryland Crime Victims Resource Center: offers support groups and counseling services
Baltimore City State Attorney’s Office, Family Bereavement Center: offers individual and group support for families that have lost a loved one to homicide in Baltimore City
