We cannot become what we want by remaining what we are

Welcome. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, holistic, and compassionate. It’s common for overwhelming feelings to occur throughout life. I can help unpack these feelings with you, to get to their meaning. Your goals drive the therapy session. If you are adjusting to a new circumstance, feeling burned-out, or grieving the loss of someone you love, allow me to help.

“Why does life feel overwhelming?”

Because you are tired, burned -out, confused, and feeling like everything is out of your control. You worry that this feeling and these thoughts are weighing you down, but you just can’t get rid of them. You are feeling angry, scared, lost, alone after the death of your loved one. You just can’t seem to focus.

You are struggling to get a good nights sleep, struggling to go to work, struggling to enjoy things that once brought you happiness. You feel that your job is hard, and you do not see it getting any better. You can’t understand why your partner does the things they do, and you don’t feel like you can communicate your feelings of why you hurt.

It’s a lot.

Allow me to help. To hear you, be with you, and give you the space to reflect, learn, and create a new understanding of how you want to move forward.

The feelings of loss or discontent can come from many changes in our lives, such as the death of a loved one, the loss of a career, a sudden illness, the end of a relationship or even a wanted shift in our path. Due to change, many women struggle with how to cope. We have all had to make significant shifts, and it is taking its toll. While the course of adjustment may be arduous and challenging, you do not have to trudge it alone.

Lets get started.

Grief is a natural response to loss. It is the emotional rollercoaster you feel when someone or something has been taken away from you.

There are three main types of trauma: Acute, Chronic, or Complex Acute trauma results from a single incident. Chronic trauma is repeated and prolonged such as domestic violence or abuse. Complex trauma is exposure to varied and multiple traumatic events, often of an invasive, interpersonal nature.

Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. It can occur together or in part by the traumatic event , and how your body and mind was able to process the event.

  • Burnout

Burn-out is a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. It is characterized by three dimensions: feelings of energy depletion or exhaustion; increased mental distance from one's job, or feelings of negativism or cynicism related to one's job; and life course.
